Yet more proof that muscles can be sexy ....

Cindy Phillips is a 25 year old bodybuilder from Canada and I love this pic because she looks feminine whilst having huuuuuge biceps at the same time. This pic is taken from her blog at http://www.cindyphillips.net and this is what I am talking about - the confidence to go out in sexy girly clothes and show some real muscle!!

OMFG CRAZY LEGS ..........

Ok I know I have huge legs but this gal's legs are off the scale! Her name is Britt Miller and she is a bodybuilder from the USA in her early 20's and once again is absolutely stunning. She posts training pics online at http://www.brittmiller.blogspot.com and she has awesome development. This is a pic from her leg training ..... un-freaking-believable!!!!!

Total respect to ........

Seeing as I am new to this blogging lark, I am delighted that I have stumbled across this on another blog. Her name is Eva Kovalainen and she is a female bodybuilder from Finland, a little older than I am, and she is everything that I stand for - she is heavily built and looks gorgeous! This is how women should feel empowered to look and people should realise that having a lot of muscle doesn't make you any less feminine!

You rock girl!!! Pics are taken from her blog at http://evakovalainen.blogspot.com/

Happy New Year

Happy new year everyone!

I know this is still the first day of my new blog, but I thought I would write about my new years resolution. It's simple - I'm going to have more confidence in the way I look. I decided I'm tired of buying baggy clothes so I can go out and hide my muscles and over christmas I went to Debenhams, spent a grand on new clothes and everyone is going to know that I am big and proud of it! Sure I nearly gave the bra measuring lady a heart attack when I got in there - it annoys me that lingerie for bodybuilders is restrictive) but I'm glad that I have a new wardrobe that shows everyone what I am all about - I'm tired of hiding it.

By the way, to the idiot who screamed 'hey arnie' to me when I was standing outside the store, maybe next time you can get a little closer so I can have a good look at you. If you love female muscle so much why didn't you just ask me out! Grrrrrrrrrrrr ......

Hey everyone!

Thanks for visiting my new blog. As you may or may not know, I've been bodybuilding for 5 years now and have decided to tell the world about it! I'm thinking about putting some pics up but I already have a ton of them on my Facebook page - I'm only comfortable about showing them off to people I know at the mo!

However, I still want to tell people all about my training (got some really good training gear for my 19th last week - thanks again mum and dad xx) and about the difficulties faced just because I decide to look a bit 'different' lol. Those of you who know me will know that I'm just a big girly girl at heart (I don't do steroids either - so everything is still in the right place!).

Anyway, a little about me. I'm 19 years old and live near London in the UK. I got into bodybuilding with some of my mates from school when I was 14 but only two or three of us stuck it out. Were all having fun just seeing how much we can grow without taking anything we shouldn't - we've already seen a good friend's life go to crap because that. I work as a personal trainer with those who haven't got an ego too big to admit that a girl can lift more than them!

A lot of people ask me why I decided to start bodybuilding. Simply, I found that I built muscle really easily just by doing sports and I spent ages trying to do everything I could to stay skinny. Then, one day I realised that I had a gift that thousands of people would love to have and just decided to work with it. I have to go for regular medical check ups to make sure that my heart can keep up with my lifting and growth but doing 2 hours of cardio a day tends to take care of it. Basically, I found it was easier to just go with it and get big than to spend the rest of my days panicking about going out with biceps on show.

Anyway thanks for reading and come back soon,

Lucy xx
